Hi Rolf,

In short, I don't know. RTF format, although well documented by Microsoft, still takes a lot to understand. If I were you, I'd look at the nearby tags and work out a rule of thumb so that only the sections you want changed are actually changed, and then use TextPipe's subfiltering to do so.

On the trial page, I think there was a bug with that version. One of Ctrl+V, or the Edit menu\paste, or right click menu\Paste will work.

Hi Chris,

That file isn't one that is used or understood by TextPipe, but you can certainly use a text file to load filter settings into TextPipe. Just check the help under the Command line settings.

Hi Jeff, I'm pretty sure you can't do this with regex alone. You can however get a regex to match each word, and then use a VBScript subfilter to process those words - keeping an array of 2 or three words and outputting them. It looks like you're trying to generate a word concordance, which is somet...

Hi there,

Use a 'restrict to CSV field' to choose the data field first.

Then add a VBScript subfilter to calculate 1/x of the data and output it.

Have a look at the VBScript help and samples to see how this works.

Hi - you don't need DPP for this. With the first database filter, have an input text of select * from tablename; set the database filter output format to 'insert script', for the new tablename. The result is a series of INSERT INTO ... statements. Add a second database filter, this one pointing to t...

Hi Mark,

If you mean the ability to script TextPipe - it's already there! Check the help file for details.

If not, please let me know in more detail what you mean.

Hi Rob,

I'd replace each set of 6 spaces with a tab, or import it into Excel.

Try searching for pattern

([^\r\n]*)

([^\r\n]*)
([^\r\n]*)
([^\r\n]*)

Replace with

Re: simply doesn't work

Are you using the latest WordPipe 3.6.6? What version of Word are you using? Depending on Word bugs, you may have to force WordPipe to save changes - please see the options tab and read the help file. I don't get it. I've tried the evaluation version of WordPipe at least twice now (on different comp...

Re: Search & Replace anomaly

Just use the pattern

c.(\d{1,4}?)

With the 'Extract' option on, and a replace pattern of

C.$1\r\n

Hi Aimee,

TextPipe won't process Word documents - that's why askSam disables it.

All the TextPipe documentation is in electronic form, press F1 to access it from within TextPipe, or select it from TextPipe's Help menu, or from the Windows Start menu.

Thanks Bob,

We'll see how this new system pans out, and make a decision in a few months time.
